Erfahrungen mit Micro Precision Serie Z Studio ?

hi guys,

I just came across this thread, and can someone tell me, what model of genesis amp is that in the first page, the HUGE genesis amp! i've never seen that before!

anyway,

this microprecision Z series is one crazy speakers!!!

down here in Singapore, cars using his combi have been killing DLS cars during IASCA!

from what i heard, DLS came out with the scandinavia series to combot with microprecsion! Singapore's top installer competes with full DLS setups and he got the first few prototypes of the scandinavia spkrs for IASCA back in 08 :)

what I really like about the Z series is the mid range. Nothing i've heard so far can ever get close to how good the mid range sounds!

but one thing though, the Z series cones dont really like out weather down here ( i think)..

Hi Russel,

the huge Genesis amps are Genesis P 15 tube amps

BTW: You can find contact to Thomas Hoffmann via this forum. He is the manufactor of Micro Precision. The product photos of the new Serie Z Studio were made by him ;)

thanks for the info!

u know what, my friend was just tellinig us about this amp today, but he said it was the " B15" amp, we were like " what kind of genesis amp is this??!!??"

Thomas Hoffman is here? haha

A nice wave from Singapore!

haha.. my distributor down here in Singapore was going to put the full z series into our competition car, but due to some local car audio " politics", he could not get the Z series! thus we settled on the EB Tec!

till date, i have not heard a speaker ( in car audio) that sounds better than the Z series! i dunno wat you put inside that cone, even one of my US manufacturers couldnt believe what the cone is made out off!

Tell Thomas to sell direct to us one set! hahahaha

Cheers!

When you talk to Thomas, normally everything is possible...i think, i've seen some cars in the far east (from our side of the world :D ) driving around with series z speakers.

especially the new z studio series are amazing pieces! Very nice manufacturing standards there!

u must install them inverted, that would look really awesome :D :D :D

hahaha..

one thing though, those z spkrs are really fragile :(

and honestly, btw the rainbow reference and the full Z, i'll pick the Z

btw, how much does the full Z retail for in germany?

Acknowledged! A lot of people share the same opinion in Germany here. And yes - they are very fragile. So take care and enjoy the unique sound!

There are no prices out for Z-Studio speakers except of the tweeters (2500 EUR / pair here). The mids are about 600 - 700 EUR, midbass (Z170) up to 900 EUR.

But there is an existing reseller in Singapore - did you try to get the speakers there?

If you've got problems to get it in Singapore, you could try to get it via the next distributors (Jakarta or KL). Also check http://www.microprecision.de/ and feel free to contact Thomas Hoffmann himself.

This thread is not about the "regular" Series Z, but about the (partially ready, partially upcoming) Z Studio series, which is a even more exclusive and even better sounding series.
The german retail prices for the Series Z speakers should be around
2400 S$ for the tweeters
1440 S$ for the 4"
1440 S$ for the 5,25"
1920 S$ for the 6"

We know the distributor of Micro Precision in SIngapore, he's the same distributor as Genesis amps down here.

But as he had an arrangement with one of the dealers here to be the master dealer, all other dealers must take MP products from that dealer. Also, with the z series so rare down here, that dealer doesnt release out the z series so easily :(

If the distributor of MP did not have that arragement, our competition car would have been decked out with the full Z series :)

:ugly:
