Problems: Rs-d7 ODR - DEQ-P9

Hello,
I am Italian and have a problem to resolve.
I have acquired a Pioneer Rs-d7 ODR and I have connected the ODR to a processore Deq-p9.
The radio sendes the commandos to the processor but I do not succeed to listen to music.

I tried to change the DSP and the optical/digital cable but the problem still exists.
I tried to check the channels Mute settings, no channel is set to mute.

Now I would like to ask you if you have any suggestions helping me to resolve the "no sound" problem

have you connected both cables (optical and IP-Bus) to the devices ?

do you have any manual for the RS-D7?
Maybe the ODR HU can swith the optica out on and off like alpine headunits.
I don't know :ka:

Maybe the user Weingeist can tell you something about the RS-D7 :keks:

Everything you did is absolutely correct... it should work this way!

Something must be broken... hopefully not your RS-D7...!

You can´t do nothing about it... just ask a dealer to get it checked...

.... one more thing!

Did you connect the Remotecables? The one from the HU and the other one from the procesor?
... this wold be wrong, because both are Remote-Outputs... no input... don´t connect them!

... sorry... no further ideas!

Did you plug in the optical leads correctly? Blue into the DSP, black into the headunit. Try to check another headunit (maybe a P9 or a P90).

Hi Konni...

I Think the DEQ-P9 has only an optical input and no optical output. It's not an ODR DSP with optical in and out :keks:

Hi,
yesterday evening we have tried the radio on the test bench.
The problem is remained! The loudspeakers do not emit sound.
I have verified the connections and they are corrected. :cry:

Hmm... when you switch on the radio and play a CD, do you hear a small "klack" in the DSP? Did you try the DSP with another Headunit, to check if sth with the dsp is wrong?

I do not have an other Headunit to try but I have changed the DSP and the optical/digital cable and the problem remains.

No small "klack" when I switch on the radio and play a CD.

Hmm... thats very strange. Usually the DSP makes a "klack" (relay) when you send a signal through the headunit to the DSP.

Change also from Tuner, to DSP, to AUX. It should always "klack" if it doesn't, something is wrong. Because the DSP do not get the signal from the Headunit or the DSP can not receive them and its a problem with the Headunit OR the DSP. I hope for you it is the DSP. Try to connect Froschi's DEQ-90 (Christian's) DSP to check it out.

Can you choose an adress? Did you try to reset the DSP and HEadunit?

yes, I have resetted the DSP and Headunit, but the problem remains.
Yesterday I have tried the P9 processor with one P9 Headunit.
It worked perfectly.
Beginning to think that the Headunit ODR is broken off.

I think your ODR HU is damaged :-(
Maybe you can send it back and ask to repair it... it should be under warranty... :-)
 
The person who has sold to me the ODR says:

- now i have a problem like your...

- my system no sound too and the proc menu are available from radio....

- i'm still investigate it....want to find what wrong with it....

What was it concretely? Cable broken? Or just not plugged in correctly?

I will try this out, having exactly the same Problem with my P9....
